World Sports Day 2012

Hooray! It's not raining! The sports day has started brilliantly. The whole school is split into first continents and then into smaller country groups to take part in 15 different activities. Each team
must record their score and hand their points in for counting. Here are some photos to give you a taster of what is going on!

Sportshall Athletics 25 January 2012

The years 5 and 6s enjoyed a great morning at Stradbroke High School taking part in the Sportshall Athletics.  This was organised by Rosemary Bloom and Mrs Somers from Diss HIgh School.  They were helped, as usual, by the sports leaders and it was great to see so many ex-Roydon pupils in this role.  Seven schools took part in the event which included All Saints, Tivetshall, Burston, Scole, Dickleburgh and North Lopham.

The speed bounce is always a challenge!

The chest push!  Kelly Butler did brilliantly at this and really impressed the sports leaders.

Liam Frost proved to be a bit of a natural!
The tournament concluded with the relay races.  Roydon did very well and won all the races except the one which involved a crash with an adult!!

The scores were added up and we won!!  Roydon will go onto the next stage at the UEA on the 9th February 2012.  Well done!!

A big thank you to Mrs Bowen and Mrs Bloom for helping to transport the children and staying to cheer them on.
